Financial Planning

A Six Part Process

According to the College for Financial Planning

Comprehensive financial planning is “the process in which coordinated, comprehensive strategies are developed and implemented for the achievement of the client’s financial goals and objectives.”

This is achieved by following the financial planning process that includes:

  1. Establish client-planner relationship
  2. Determine client’s goals and objectives, define the scope of the engagement
  3. Gather data and analyze or evaluate to determine client’s current financial situation
  4. Develop and document the financial plan and present to the client
  5. Assist the client with implementing the plan
  6. Monitor and update the financial plan

We believe our role as your transition planner is to help you understand what is financial planning and then to coordinate the bevy of attorneys, insurance agents, accountants, investment managers, etc. to ensure that your best interests are served at all times, with a focus on the achievement of your goals and objectives.

We understand that the process can seem daunting and confusing and that is why we take the time to guide you through our analysis and subsequent financial plan

We believe “Money is a means to an end, not an end in itself.”
