Applying for Lawful Permanent Residence Status

To apply for a "Green Card," the starting point is filing INS Form I-485 - Application to Register Permanent Status or Adjust Status along with the $315 filing fee (for adults, $215 for minors) and two color photographs.  There are other supplemental forms such as the I-134 - Affidavit of Support , etc. that may be required, depending on your circumstances.  Before undertaking this yourself, you should consult us to save yourself a lot of time, ensuring you are filling out the right forms, correctly and submitting them in their entirety.  If all of the requirements are not met, the Immigration and Naturalization Service may reject your application, delaying the process significantly.
